❤️ Celebrating all the Fathers and single parents today

▶️Single parents/foster parents/ grandparents who are raising kids
▶️Those who don’t have a healthy relationship with their fathers
▶️Those who can’t have children
▶️Those who have never known their fathers

▶️Step fathers, coaches, uncles, teachers, mentors etc. who are father figures
▶️Those who can’t be with their fathers (Wish I could be with my dad James who is in Florida 🥲)
▶️Every hug you give, every joke you share, every moment that you listen patiently, every time you take a deep breath and see things from your child’s perspective, every time you role model for your child how to manage anger responsibly and show up with integrity for all the blessings and emotional roll coaster rides, you’re shaping your child into a person who will make you proud.
We celebrate you!

This is a Genuine Example of the Six Stages of Attachment all kids need by Dr. Gordon Neufeld’s
▶️Proximity: Physical closeness
▶️Sameness: (having something in common)Dad is coaching son
▶️Loyalty: Dad has his back. He “shoos” away all the reporters, medics and officials
▶️Significance – Unconditional Love – it’s okay that he didn’t win the gold
▶️Love: hugs, pats on the chest, holding him up
▶️Being Known/Vulnerability – Dad is a safe person with whom he can cry and express vulnerability
When our children are all grown up and we look back, these stages of attachment are what we will want them to remember the most. These experiences of being there and supporting them through the tough times.
